As I dive deeper into this new language that we will need for ministry and life in India, I am reminded of God’s majesty. I truly believe that God created different languages for a purpose. We can learn so much about a people group when we learn the language that they speak natively. Just as believers, we hunger for the words of God and study them intensely. As a result of our studies, we are learning about God, being pulled deeper into His heart. I am experiencing something similar by learning Hindi. By the grace of God, my eyes, ears, and heart are being transformed. We can truly become all things, to all people. God uses language in a powerful, beautiful way through His spirit. Here we see what the Apostle Paul says about ministering to different people groups-
1 Corinthians 9:19-23: “For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law; to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with you.”
Thank you for serving the Lord with us by sending and supporting our family with your prayers and offerings. We are united in Christ and have one common vision of seeing many souls saved and discipled through the love and grace of God.
